Emergency and rescue activities at the airportThis course will guide you through the airport emergency planning process. The purpose of airport emergency planning is to minimise the effects of human error, procedural lapses and blind spaces in managing processes and operations and to deal with the external factors that may lead to emergencies. In addition, the airport emergency plan sets out procedures for coordinating the response of various airport, local, national and international agencies that could assist in responding to an emergency. Internal communication is essential for proper action and assistance to affected people. The members of the emergency group must know their responsibilities in crises and their roles in the coordinated response. Participants will understand the essential components of emergency response and how to deal with difficult and complex safety concerns.
